The drive up there typically takes 5 hours but I think it took us close to 7 because we had to stop for lunch and feed baby girl. And then she had a complete break-down when we got to the outskirts of San Antonio so we had to pull over in a parking lot and change her diaper and just walk around for a bit to calm her down. Overall though she did do really well on the drive, I just had to keep her distracted with toys, music, and baby einstein shows on utube on my phone.
Once there she got to meet her Great Grandpa Rosel and got to see Great Grandma Rosel again. At first she wasn't to sure of her new surroundings and clung to me and her grandma but then she loosened up and was all smiles. She did a mini photoshoot at the request of her Great Grandpa that consisted of her with a few of his many marine items. She had a blast and it made Great Grandpa extremely happy and proud of his first Great Granddaughter.
While in San Antonio she got to meet many cousins, aunts, and uncles. She was introduced to her Momo and Popo (Great Grandma and Great Grandpa on my dad's side). She just watched everyone intensly and was taking in everything and everyone. She found several family members just hilarious.

Aubrey also went for her first swim in Great Grandpa Rosel's pool. Her Aunt Tunisha, cousin Molly and Mrs Lisa joined us for a swim. She wasn't to sure what to think of the pool but did seem to like it as long as she knew I was right next to her or holding her up against me. She tolerated her swim floatee pretty well but it was big for her so I did have to keep my hand on her bottom holding her up. She did kick around some but was more interested in just watching Molly and everyone swim. First Swim was successfull but did wear her out.
The drive home went well and she slept most of the trip which was nice. We are glad to be home now and glad to not have any travel plans scheduled for several more months. Hoping her dislike for the car will get better soon, especially since in a month she will be doing my hour commute to and from work daily and I won't have anyone in the back seat to distract her. Looking at investing in a DVD travel system.
