On July 14, Aubrey turned 4 months old! I can't believe my baby girl is already 4 months old! This meant it was time to head back to the doctor for shots and to get her weight and height! They reported that she was 13 pounds (25%) and 24" long (28%). She did much better at this appointment and didn't pee on the doctor this time!
So here is what happened this month:
Aubrey was a little social butterfly this month.
She had two play dates, one with Miss. Harper and one with Mr. Dean. It was fun seeing them interact . She would just watch them and I think she was taking notes on their movements and activity. They are going to be daycare buds!
Aubrey Also got to visit with her Great Grandma Moore this month and we got this sweet picture of the 4 generations of Moore's.
She also had her first sleep over with Baby Lily and Miss Caitlin. Two of Dave's old roomates and another fraternity brother drove up to visit us from East Texas to meet Aubrey. We haven't seen these guys in several years and it was nice to catch up. Funny how 3 of the 4 guys have all had girls first and the fourth just hasn't had kids so he could be next. ;) The girls had fun and I cannot wait to see these three girls grow to be the best of friends! It was also nice for the momma's to get catch up on old times. Funny how our conversations have changed from when we were in college.
Then she also had Mr Cail, Mrs. Melissa, Rylie and Ryan visit her from East Texas. These are friends of mine from college. I still remember Rylie as a baby, she's growing up so fast.
She also got a special visit from her Uncle Charles, Aunt Rachel and her two cousins Colton and Ainsley from Houston. The kids were so good with her and enjoyed holding her. Thanks guys for taking the time to come visit us!!!

Aubrey also celebrated her first 4th of July. We celebrated a day early since that was daddy's Sunday. We just ran errands as a family and got to spend some quality time all together which was so nice! Happy 4th!
Then we ended this month with a trip to Norman, OK. Grandma took the train down here and then road with Aubrey and I back to Norman the next day because Aubrey has decided she does not like the car. We were headed to San Antonio the next week and I wanted to see how she would do on a 3 hour drive before we did a 5 hour drive. Luckily mom was with me because after an hour of being in the car she got extremely fussy and since mom was in the back with her she was able to distract her the remainder of the trip. This was also my first time to have to pack everything I thought she may need....goodness babies need a lot! :) I also became educated on putting the play yard together. Not to hard, luckily!! Aubrey had a blast in OK and was watched over closely by her dog cousin Ginger who decided Aubrey was her baby and everyone needed to ask for permission to hold her and needed to be investigated.
So as you can tell it was a very very busy month!!!
She also has
- Discovered her toes and likes to hold onto her feet with both hands
- She is rolling more and more to both sides now consistently
- purposefully reaching for toys.
- Tolerating tummy time more and more
- She babbles a TON now and has discovered her lips and tongue. She does the strangest things with her top lip and creates some crazy sounds. It's funny to watch because when she discovers a new sound that she likes she keeps trying to do it over and over again.
- She can sit for approximately 15 seconds with her arms down infront of her unassisted.
- She knows what her bottle looks like and gets very excited when she sees it.
- She will move her hands away from her mouth when she sees the bottle and will grab the bottle with both hands. Not fully holding it up yet because it is still pretty heavy for her (8 oz bottle).
- Hates car rides right now
- Really belly laughing now
- Smiles when people tell her she's pretty and she gets all bashful which is just flat our adorable!
