Family

Well we've had a very busy weekend. My Aunt Rosanne, Aunt Suzie, Cousin Andraya, and Cousin Elizabeth were in town all the way from San Antonio. They got in on Thursday night. Cooper once again had a lot of investigating to do with Elizabeth, she is 2 years old. He doesn't understand her size and we did have to watch him to make sure he was gentle with her. He did VERY well. Lots of sniffing. Our weekend consisted of a lot of Disney channel and various other kid shows. Lots of puzzles, coloring, painting, and watching her make tents. On Friday we all went to the Dallas World Aquarium in downtown Dallas. It was a very nice place but kinda odd because it had much more than just water animals. The theme was Rainforest. Elizbeth loved it and we adults had a lot of fun also. The coolest was the Octopus because they started feeding him and he swam up to the top of the tank and was so huge. That night we went over to Dani and Daves for good pizza and yummy wine/beer. On Saturday we went to visit Rosanne's friends, met Dave for dinner, then came home and watched Twilight. When we had gotten home Elizabeth got excited to take pictures and wanted to take pics with the dogs. Cooper wouldn't stay still but he did sneak into a picture with her. Poor chloe was forced to take a pic with her, it was the cutest thing.

Dave had to work on understanding baby talk and was getting better but for the most part didn't know what she was saying. :) She LOVED Dave. Sat night before she went to bed we all got hugs and when Rosanne asked if she would give Dave a hug she said "no a kiss" It was so flippin cute!!! I don't know what it is but ALL children LOVE Mr. Dave. :) I don't know another man that gets that reaction from EVERY single child they come in contact with. I love that about him. Andraya and I did a lot of bonding, she kept me up late every night talking. I'm getting to old for late nights I think. This morning they headed back hom to San Antonio and our poor dogs have been passed out all day. We're all worn out.

Friends

This past week has been Spring Break, but it hasn't really been a "Break". I've been working with students on off-campus lessons, working at Ann Taylor, and doing tastings with MonaVie. Dave has been busy with work and it has been VERY busy this week with everyone on Spring Break.

Our good friends Melissa and Cail came into town yesterday for another friends Baby Shower. They brought their beautiful daughter Rylie. I cleaned my house and attempted to make it as baby proof as possible, but Rylie showed me what more I have to do. :) The dogs weren't sure about her. Cooper has never been around toddlers before so he was highly confused on what she was. He wouldn't get to close and kept barking at her. After about 30 minutes of this he warmed up to her. She LOVED him. She would go chasing at him and then runaway so he would chase her. We did have to monitor him to make sure he was gentle with her because he's not use to that. Chloe has been around little kids before and was very gentle with her; however, Rylie immediately took to me and was sitting in my lap. When she would get up Chloe would run and sit in my lap....can we say jealous. It was very funny. It was so nice to have a little one around. She was very talkative and all over the place. It was fun running around with her, playing peek-a-boo, and doing silly things because she is at the age where she copies what she sees. Today we went to the Baby shower and met up with all our close friends from SFA. All of us live all over the place and just live very busy lives and it seems like the only time we all get together is for baby showers. It was nice to see the kids there and how we've all entered a new phase in our lives. Being around Rylie just made me want to be a mom 10 times more. I had a blast with her and it tore at my heart when they left. She gave me an open mouth kiss which took me by surprise (not use to little kid kisses), she waved bye bye to me. As I was walking to my car she said, "Bye Bye Bawah" (or something like that). I melted, it was the cutest, sweetest thing.

MonaVie and MADD

Well this past week has been good. David and I have started drinking MonaVie, which in all honesty has already done wonders. I have started to feel more awake each day. I normally am exhausted and have little energy each day before noon but now I am very energetic. I have started to feel like my body is getting healthier. It's really hard to explain but I just feel like I am getting healthier all around. I also haven't noticed my back pain the past couple days; which, is pretty awesome. I am very pumped to share this drink with everyone because I think a lot of people can benefit from it. It doesn't have vitamins in it, it doesn't have any kind of chemicals...it's just a blend of 19 fruits. This gives us the 13 servings of fruits/veggies that we need a day. It's good for everyone that may have aches and pains, arthritis, cholesterol issues, heart issues, ADHD, ADD, always exhausted, and much more!

Second, I have been a member of the PWA (Police Wives Association) for a year now and went to my first meeting today. I know pretty sad. Well at the meeting they had a spokesperson for MADD talk to us about their organization and about a walk they were doing here in Dallas at the end of April. I just felt the need to do this walk but I knew something was going on that weekend that I wouldn't be able to do the actual walk. I talked to them about raising money but not walking and she told me that was fine. That you just register as a "Virtual Walker" so as soon as I got home I signed up. I am asking all of you reading this to please find it in your heart to donate something, even a dollar is something. :) There is a link to the right that you can click on and it will take you to my page.

Busy Busy

Life has been busy for us this week. I worked on my taxes all weekend. If I wasn't working, I was doing taxes. Our taxes are very detailed because I'm self-employeed so we get to write off a lot but that means find each and every bill and plugging it into my spreadsheet. Since we moved there were things in boxes still. I was all done on Monday thankfully and we gave it to my accountant. This was a huge weight lifted off my shoulders.

I'm also in the process of figuring what we are going to do for our 1 year anniversary. It's right around the corner. Our anniversary is on Easter so we will go to church in the morning and then the plan is to go stay at The Gaylord here in Grapevine for 2 nights since our Anniversary falls on Sunday and Dave has off Sun and Mon. We are hoping that maybe this summer or sometime this next year we will get to take our official honeymoon. For now The Gaylord works and we've heard it's really nice so we are looking forward to that.

We also have been inroduced to MonaVie which is a fruit juice that is highly healthy for us. It gives us all the fruits we need for 1 day in liquid form. I've been doing a lot of research lately on the company and decided to try it out. We hopefully will get our first month supply next week. I will let you know how we like it and if we see any improvements in health and energy. Also interested to see if it will help our aches and pains. If you are interested in trying it let me know. I've heard amazing things about it.

This morning we heard that we are getting a HUGE return, which is highly exciting. Yay for buying a house when we did! This is an answer to our prayers because this was a stresser that we took on 3 months before the wedding and it just has continued to grow. We are planning to pay off all our debt first. Plus maybe pay off school loans. If there is any money left over (which there should be) we will put it towards something for us but it is highly important to both of us to get out of debt, especially before we start a family.

Life is great! Everything seems to be falling into place and coming together for us finally.
